We’ve started uploading our videos on our youtube channel. Here’s the site where we host our shows live. The hunter album is well on its way, the hunter-only raiding is progressing, and there were interesting blue posts about Dire Beast, Thrill of the Hunt, and Stampede on the beta forums. Then Frostheim started telling us about what it was like in Vanilla.

This episode, we invite Michele Morrow back! Then all hell breaks loose. We were a little light on hunter news, so we spent most of our time listening to Frostheim and Michele play the Hunting Party Podcast drinking game.

We also talk about the Foam Weapon League, Frostheim’s hairy wrist bracers, and a whole host of other random nonsense. It’s a good show, and a very fun listen.

This week, we welcome a guest, Morynne of Marks-365, to the show to discuss the first week of Cataclysm. This was recorded Dec 12th, so some of the information is already dated, however apparently Frostheim doesn’t know who Gene Simmons is. This won’t get old for a while. Until he race changes to worgen to take advantage of an in-game approximation of his hairy wrists, at least.

Hi guys! The non-disclosure has been lifted, and what we know about hunters in Cataclysm’s beta is postable. I’m not in the beta or alpha because I didn’t sign up for it, however my co-host and dwarven chauvinist, Frostheim, has been chewing his tongue trying not to tell us all on the podcast about the cool stuff he was seeing in Alpha.

Well, I’m glad that’s over! He just posted everything we know about hunters so far on his site. Here’s some of my favorite parts: (more…)

The Lich King encounter is unforgiving on 10 man, and very unforgiving on 25 man. I’m not going to do a full guide here, but I am going to talk a little about how to handle the big raid blocks in phase two: Val’kyr and Defile.

The first phase is very easy. The transition to phase two can be rough, but phase two is what kills many raid groups. Especially on 25 man. The mechanics of this phase are that every so often, he’ll summon a single (for 10 man) or 3 (25 man) adds which will pick players up and fly them over the edge of the fight.  Once they’re dropped, they can not be battle-rezed. Additionally, and sometimes simultaneously, he’ll cast the mother of all void zones under a random raider. (more…)

Hey guys, look! Frostheim let me write a hunter article at wow.com! So I took the opportunity to make a case for taming druids.

Lastly, I think we should be able to tame druids. Wait, don’t close this browser yet! Hear me out! I think that during PvP, hunters should have a short term Mind Control they could cast that would allow them to temporarily replace their pet with a druid opponent. We can already fear them, so this doesn’t go much farther than that. I’d totally support “Tame Druid” sharing a cooldown with Scare Beast. Now in addition to the druids’ cacophony, I hear priests screaming at me. You want to keep your signature ability? Fine, make a tamed druid only as controllable as a pet and immune to falling damage. There’s no easy way to throw your pet off a cliff in a battleground, short of Eyes of the Beast, and that could be made to not work.

Hi folks! This week, we have Kruf, from Paragon come back to talk to us about advanced huntering! We had a bunch of good questions for him submitted by listeners. Also, while Darkbrew and Frostheim were unavailable for this episode, Morynne from Marks-365.com was kind enough to sub in for them.

Do you want to know how hunters stack up on average to other DPS classes? Take a look at the article that OutDPS poet laureate Frostheim painstakingly put together for wow.com. Interesting data. A visual cue that might help you is that all hunter specs are in green.

Oh god, so much news!

First off, relevant now, MMO-C tells us that the ICC zone buff was extended again. 11 wasn’t enough louder than 10, evidently. Hear that? That’s the sound of progression without any change in skill or gear!

Next up, it looks like there’s been a preview of the way progression tokens will work in cataclysm. Picture what we have now, only with much less trading down 2 tiers to get something you want.

Overall, excellent news, in my opinion! Now if they’d just tell us without weasel words that they want to keep 25 man raiding more attractive than 10 man despite the fact that they drop the same quality gear, I’d be thrilled.
