This week, Darkbrew, Frostheim, and Euripides discuss the Mists of Pandaria pre-patch, going over everything a hunter needs to know to survive the first few days.

We’ve started uploading our videos on our youtube channel. Here’s the site where we host our shows live.

You can now stream our show onto any mobile device through Stitcher.com, for those of us who prefer something like Android to the iPhone. As always, here is the iTunes store linkthe Hunting Party Podcast feed, and the direct XML feed. If you email us comments or questions, we’ll read them on the next show. Send an email to huntingpartypodcast@gmail.com. Also, we love iTunes reviews. So please drop by iTunes and mention what you thought of the show.

4.1 is out and it brought with it the usual tumult of a content patch: broken addons, disconnections, bugs, login problems, AH shortages (read: opportunities), and rampant qq.  In my guild the biggest concern on the night of the release seemed to be getting Recount to work properly before the raid.  Of course, there were so many DCs and surprise wipes that being able to watch the stats on Recount just made things more painful.  That was one initial impression of 4.1: struggle.  After there break there are some more.

On episode 70 of the Hunting Party Podcast, we talk about the changes to the class that the 4.0.6 patch brought. Specifically the new shift to marksmanship. Also, Frostheim wants to remind you that the government’s funding for iTunes reviews of hunter podcasts is at an all time low.

This week, we talk more about the impending nerfs to the hunter class in the next patch. Again these things change fast, so it’s already outdated, but this is what we had to say about it last weekend.

Yes, SV is getting its damage reduced.  However, there’s a lot more going on in this patch that merits our attention.  I’d really encourage you to read the whole set of patch notes.  If you need an incentive, know that there’s gems like this:

Hunters can now use Auto Shot while moving.

Wow.

Well, my friends, we are nearly to the end of what some refer to as arena season 6, but I refer to as “That Really Bad Recurring Nightmare”. Patch 3.2 is live already, of course, which means we can all take advantage of the new hunter changes to bump our rating up [ed: how 3.2 changes our PvP and PvE posts can be expected soon]. A last minute push for gladiator has never been easier for us, folks. Get in there and start playing!

We are in the final two weeks of the season- make your arena point spending decisions accordingly, and don’t forget that you can dump excess points into Arena commendations at a rate of 100 arena points for 2000 honor. Five of these left in your inventory will carry over to season 7, so stock up. If you are wondering how close your personal rating must be to your team’s actual rating, the answer is that you must be within 100 points, and to get gladiator your team must be in the top 0.5% of all active teams in that bracket. Arenajunkies.com has estimates of what this translates to in terms of ranking on their forums. Search for your battlegroup’s specific forum for the relevant post.

That it’s for now, check back soon for my next post and don’t forget to let me know what you really want me to write about. I’m writing for you guys, and if you don’t leave me comments I’ll just keep going off on tangents until Euri finds his absurdly long shepherd’s hook offstage.
