I covered the shot priorities list. Now it’s time for macros. Some of you are thinking “Macros? I thought you said not to macro shots, just to weave them manually based on what’s available and highest priority?”. This is correct! However, and I went over this in the last patch, it’s fine to take all [...]

Well, I’m starting to write up some revisions for my earlier work on huntering pre-3.1. This will not be ready today, however, because while the patch notes are finalized, no live testing has been done. For now, here are two really nifty tools I discovered in my travels that every raid leader should know about. [...]

It’s also almost not worth the run time with their large hit boxes and the fact that you pretty much have to get toward the middle to get a trap off. In [...]

As as survival hunter, you can expect your pet to be a very minor contribution to your damage. In fact, if a pet dies in a boss fight, it typically takes him 5-10 times as long as the revive pet spell cast time to simply replace the damage you would have done had you not stopped to bring the little guy back. Still, 10%-20% of your damage comes from it, so if you respecced from beast mastery, count your blessings. The one skill you bring over to survival that many survival hunters never bothered learning is keeping a pet alive.
