Blizzcon is done and you can find the highlights for hunters after the cut.
Blizzard will be making Pandaren a playable race for both factions. Pandaren can be hunters.
New Talent Tree System, Including New Abilities
Blizzard is revamping the talent trees again so that they are more in line with the goal of having talents be meaningful choices with big opportunity costs rather than passive stat buffs. For the details, check out the blue post here, Frostheim’s post here and Wowhead’s MoP talent calculator here. The changes are huge so I really would recommend checking out those links.
Goodbye Ranged Slot
The ranged slot is disappearing. We are not losing our ranged weapons, though; they will instead be our only weapons. Their stat budgets will be buffed to make up for whatever itemization we lose from no longer carrying stat sticks.
Goodbye Minimum Range
From a blue post: Hunter minimum range (including the dead zone) and melee weapon use will be removed.
Pets Talent Trees Becoming More Flexible
It appears that hunters will be able to choose whether they want their pet to follow a cunning, ferocity or tenacity tree. In other words, you could have your bear be a ferocity pet or a spirit beast be a tenacity pet.
