Wild pet behavior:
Hey, guys, I was listening to this today and wanted to chime in on the weird pet behavior. I have been using a wolf for a while with good results until a couple days ago. I was in a 5 man PUG in the Lost City in Uldum, he was going crazy on trash mobs. We ended up pulling about 10 mobs because of my pet’s random wanderings. This was very frustrating and I ended up dismissing my pet for a portion of the dungeon to avoid pulling because it seemed as if his pathing AI was totally fried. The good thing was is that none of us died due to his bad behavior, but I was feeling pretty much like a huntard because my stupid pet was pulling what seemed like the whole dungeon.
Anybody else experience weird pet pathing in Uldum?
Good podcast. Thanks guys.
At times I wished that the podcast had been structured more like an interview because, as insightful as Frostheim is, I already know his positions on a lot of things; what I don’t know are Kripparrian’s.
Interesting podcast, even, perhaps especially in light of the recent bad tidings.
Special thanks to you for asking re PVP and refreshing to hear Krips views. It would be great to hear some more from him on PVP, esp, given that Loin has hung up his bow for the time being.
I want to know what some of the bugs and such (like the camo use) that Krip was referencing?!?!
I’ll take an email or something. Sheesh…don’t leave us all in the dark.
Kripparrian is my favourite hunt, thanks for nice podcast guys!
Is it me or is Kripp’s attitude a lot arrogant?
If by arrogant, you mean elitist, that may well be. He is, after all, playing in a very different and more competitive environment than most people (including me). I was more surprised by how willing he is to share his information with us than anything else.
I will freely admit, I do not get that. AT ALL. How can you be competitive about something for which you are not compensated, nor is there a familial/friendly spirit surrounding?
I mean I fully understanding wanting to beat your fellow business units in that in company softball or basketball league. Wanting to trounce your sibling or family members at Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Monopoly, Mario Sonic Olympics, etc. Those are friendly matches between people with a real connection to yourself.
But if Kripp downs Boss A today, and I down him tomorrow, or even next month. Whats the difference? The loot table remains the same. The reward the same. How important really is the drive to simply say you were 1st?
In essence, because someone has already scaled the mountain, it does not mean you should not scale it for yourself. Your accomplishment is not lessened nor cheapened simply because someone else did it first.
Maybe its just me. Maybe I will never understand that perspective or the time sink and commitment for no real attributable compensation on the other side. Maybe I am just some old money-grubbing sell out to this capitalistic society.
I dunno.
Hey guys! great show. just started listening to the podcast. finally decided to check it out after being a follower of WHU.
Anyways #66 was very informative. #65 was the one that i started off with. I use to subscribe to Krip on youtube for his tutorials on downing bosses but after listening to him during the interview, I don’t care for him much. It just seemed a little disrespect for him to be playing while doing the interview. As someone else mentioned early, he came as too arrogant. Sure you might be good but you don’t have to be a douchebag about it. I mean if you want a follower, I would figure you would want people to like you.
But anyways great show and I’ll be downloading the regularly from now on. Also, where can i download the “I’m a hunter song”? I’d donate some money for a good quality version of the song. lol! It’s catchy.
