Oh my- Arth has written my new favorite poem: Darkbrew’s Folly!
The sun does not shine, though it was once mine
Before I sold Deathbringer’s Will
The streets all seem grey, I lost to a mage in the raid
Because I sold Deathbringer’s Will
The pain, it is wracking, Euripides is cackling
Because I sold Deathbringer’s Will
I had come so far again, I’d be pushing Kripparrian
But alas, I sold Deathbringer’s Will
I should give up, they say, re-roll a DK
Now that I’ve sold Deathbringer’s Will
But cry not for me, it was my own stupidity
That made me sell Deathbringer’s Will
Rest assured, he got it back. Let this be a lesson to all of you “renting” trinkets for testing! Make sure you sell back the right one!
I tried finding his post about having vendored and gotten a GM to replace his beloved trinket, but I believe Darkbrew has, so far, avoided putting this story down in writing. When I searched “I vendored deathbringer’s will”, I didn’t see him as the first result. Which, clearly, I should have.
lol, awesome poem based on an absolutely true story. And you’re right I haven’t made a post about it in on my blog – yet.
I’ve had one sitting in draft for a while now. I guess I’ll have to polish it up now.
I promise I’ll do one about running out of ammo :)
You mean it drops for some guilds?
I’m 11/12 Heroic and still only seen about 3 of those trinkets since ICC hit the streets, and of course they all went to melee classes first.
/shakes fist at RNG.
For some reason this didn’t show up in my RSS list. Anyway, glad to help! And by help, I mean make fun of Darkbrew. Now if the Outdps “poet laureate” would write you something, you’d be set.
