Hey guys, look! Frostheim let me write a hunter article at wow.com! So I took the opportunity to make a case for taming druids.
Lastly, I think we should be able to tame druids. Wait, don’t close this browser yet! Hear me out! I think that during PvP, hunters should have a short term Mind Control they could cast that would allow them to temporarily replace their pet with a druid opponent. We can already fear them, so this doesn’t go much farther than that. I’d totally support “Tame Druid” sharing a cooldown with Scare Beast. Now in addition to the druids’ cacophony, I hear priests screaming at me. You want to keep your signature ability? Fine, make a tamed druid only as controllable as a pet and immune to falling damage. There’s no easy way to throw your pet off a cliff in a battleground, short of Eyes of the Beast, and that could be made to not work.
LoL Taming Druids :D why not void walkers and imps and elementals too ? :D I personally will be really happy if we get that camo/stealth that is talked about.
Taming Druids would be pretty fun but I too would give it up for Camo. I have not seen it mentioned but does being under the effect of Camo stealth your pet? I hope so, it looks a bit odd to see a spider all alone at the flag in AB with shadowmeld. Ofcourse the pet is on stay and I’m somewhere else but I’d prefer due stealth with Camo.
Camo isn’t (according to the current blue posts) going to stealth you at all. Everyone will still be able to see you, they just won’t be able to target you or your pet. The tooltip does make it quite clear that it covers your pet too.
According to Frostheim, Alpha’s new tooltip includes wording that suggests that it will be a stealth: “After 3 sec., you will enter a stealthed state. While stealthed . . .”
I can understand taming a druid if they are in bear, cat or moonkin form. But there’s no way to tame a resto. Sorry!
heh, I’ll buy that. In my opinion, we should be able to short term “tame” any druids in animal forms, just like we can short term fear them.
One of the cooler ideas in a while. I’d laugh, then cry, then gank some friggin’ druids.
As a feral druid I think this is an awesome idea, some allies are terrorizing duritar, just go cat duel my BM hunter friend tame me and let the rapeing begin
