Rilgon says so. His argument is that basically there are no hunters that won’t gain the full benefit of every single type of proc we’re eligible for (which is agi, crit, or AP), and there are other classes that could become ArP capped or crit capped. Go read his post- the whole story is more level-headed than the way I’m making it sound ;)
So is Deathbringer’s Will hunter loot? My guild uses DKP, so while that means I can bid on leather if it pleases me, I have to compete with anyone who wants this trinket, regardless of whether they’re crit or ArP capped.
What, I have my own tag now? Jesus christ. /die
Heh, I just write whatever nonsense I think google will like the most into the tags section :P
Pretty sure it’s your highest stat rather than just agility isn’t it?
From what I hear, it’s a random proc of either agi, ap, or crit for hunters. Every class and spec has their own group of three stats they will randomly get.
I’ve read Rilgon’s post now, I see, read somewhere it was your highest stat :) Wherever I read that was wrong.
So wouldn’t that make it good for SV hunters? if its Agi, AP, crit?
That’s not what he’s saying- he’s saying other classes (rogues, DKs, etc) will get less from it at higher gear levels than us.
And since when is AP, Agi, and Crit bad for MM? /boggle
From what I see it is best for hunters by a massive way. I do hope they change it though. They should take out anything which classes cap like arp for rogues as it really isn’t fair for them.
Why? Not every trinket has to be properly designed for everyone.
Look at Tiny Abomination in a Jar. Worthless for Hunters (purely melee-based proc). Should they change that to include ranged? No.
Why’s it such a crime for one trinket out of god-knows-how-many to be better for Hunters than other classes?
It’s pretty clear that they were trying to design this to be awesome for all physical DPS.
It looks like Kripparrian got the trinket:
He confirms that we get ap, crit and agi and shows us the character models that accompany the procs.
Makes me almost wish I didn’t blow all my DKP on Death’s Verdict…But then I remember that Death’s Verdict is still freakin’ awesome, and I laugh at the rogues who don’t have it.
Any thoughts on the new emblem trinket Herkuml War Token? Equip: 153 haste, Use: same as FoFF. Better than Needle Encrusted Scorpion?
One word: lolhaste.
It looks like it was made for rogues. It’s not bad, and is obviously preferable to Fury of the Five Flights for us, but there are better trinkets out there to try for.
I wonder, though, if it may be worth having at the beginning of Cataclysm (depending upon how much haste affects energy regeneration). I also wonder if an emphasis on haste will cause us to drop all our current raid gear that much sooner once the expansion hits.
Eh, sorry, meant to reply to Malgior not start a fresh comment.
Very nice trinket, glad to hear our guild warrior that tanks 75% of the time had tons of dkp to drop on it lol. Looks EXCELLENT for hunters, very versatile stats, just pray you dont get 300 Str while gunning down Saurfang Jr that’d make me sad. Euri I hope you plan on taking the next drop from all the other overzealous melee dpsers, myself included now.
“taking”? With what, force? I sure don’t have any DKP to take it with :P
lol ya hopefully we can see it more than Death’s Verdict
Didnt know the forum rules allowed such briallint posts.
What are some other desirable Trinkets besides DW & DC/DV for MM hunters? Eventhough NES has better stats than Mojiner Runestone, MR looks to have a better proc rate.
Those are the big ones. For marks, assuming you’re under the soft arp cap (and are gemming agility), generally you want one arp proc trinket. Grim toll and MR are the best for uptime, and NES is best if you can’t get under hit cap, however you’re right that the uptime sucks.
