The Hunting Party Podcast, Episode 14!

November 17, 2009

Hi folks! This week, Darkbrew, Frostheim, and I have the distinct pleasure of interviewing Kripparrian, the hunter with the most DPS records. In case you’re wondering how that works, if you go to worldoflogs.com and look at hunter DPS or damage done benchmarks, it’s his name you’ll see there most often. Kripparian is a hunter in the Exodus guild, a major PvE guild with many world firsts under their belt.

If you want to know how he does it, you can (a) listen to this week’s podcast, (b) visit his youtube channel, (c) check out a post I wrote on OutDPS trying to piece together how he manages his cooldowns, and (d) check out a similar post by Frostheim about stacking cooldowns and procs.

In addition to having beaten the PvE game, Kripparian has made (and spent!) hundreds of thousands of gold, has finished every arena season in which he’sparticipated in as a gladiator, and has 10620 achievement points.

As always, here is the iTunes store link, the Hunting Party Podcast feed, and the direct XML feed. If you email us comments or questions, we’ll read them on the next show. Send an email to huntingpartypodcast@gmail.com.

  1. Usefulness of BM in 5mans: Boss fights are short. BM has the best burst DPS, so the shorter the fight, the better BM is (although it used to be even better burst when BW lasted 20sec instead of the current 10sec). Can be useful if you’re going for timed Achievements or something :)

  2. Kripparrian is obviously very good at huntering. He’s also obviously very pleased with himself because of it. I did learn a couple of things from Kripp, but I can’t say I particularly enjoyed doing so.

  3. [...] Hunter in the World… The guys over at OutDPS have a pretty great interview of Kripparrian on their latest podcast.  I recommend anyone that is of a hunterly mindset to take [...]
