Combine this with the podcast release, and I feel I’ve released enough content today to justify delaying the upcoming arena and boss guide posts. My guild, <Aetherial Circle> just downed 25 man Yogg Saron last night! There were many loud “WOOT!”s in vent, and of course, nothing dropped for me. Well, I made a couple of obligatory “that’s hunter loot” jokes. In any case, a good time was had by all, and I’ll be writing up the final Ulduar boss guide soon.

We’ve been clearing him on 10 man every week, but it’s more than two and a half times as hard to coordinate 25 players capable of doing their jobs than it is 10.

Sorry to hear that- don’t worry, though. If it does, every guild I know of is desperate at this time of year: half the good raiders seem to be in college and are going semi-afk for the next few months.

Quite a rush, eh? I got lucky myself last week, and he dropped two hunter/warrior/shaman tier shoulders. I bid a fair amount of tokens just for people to be able to see that I downed it, lol.
I’m curious though, did your guild use the raid save feature to get to the boss and stay at the boss? Because ugh, my guild was on nothing but Yogg for two weeks before we sorted out our issues with the first two phases.
Yeah, we extended the raid because the week before, we only had the attendance to clear half the keepers. Ironically, these same attendance issues caused us to stop at General this week, and we still only got the normal one night of progression on Yogg.

Grats! Kataron, don’t feel bad. We had to utilize the extended raid feature to get our first Yogg kill, but it was still sweet. I remember the first time in there it seemed so impossible and chaotic, but nothing like doing it a couple dozen times to get the kinks out, lol. We also recently got Heartbreaker, which definitely seemed easier than Yogg. Still can’t get Hodir hard-mode though.

We killed Hodir, Thorim, Freya, IC, Razor, and Ignis Sunday night after doing XT, Cat Lady, FL, Kologarn, and Mimiron the previous Wed. We killed General and then Yogg after I think 6 wipes.
So no extending the raid, but it did take quite a few weeks, especially with Summer absences to finally get him down.
Well, if we did extend the raid (I didn’t think we had) it wasn’t with just Yogg left and Yogg attempts… we might have extended it because of a bad week of attendance and not wanting to do FL again… LOL
Hows this tickle your fancy… Our guild last night just figured out why we cant clear Ulduar 10… We had been doing all hardmodes, 8/14 on hardmodes and didnt even know it. Last night when i logged on they were in Ulduar and downing stuff left and right with ease, and with some alts as well in group. Dont ask why we didnt notice this earlier.
Wait, Earthshaker isn’t Hunter loot?
